The inaugural Wing Fest in Maplesville was held yesterday off of Highway 22.

The main event of the festival was a 15-minute wing eating contest featuring several contestants.

The winner of the contest was Randall Smith, who ate 1.91 pounds of chicken wings. they also held eating contests for hot dogs and fries. The fry contest involved only children.
