I was delighted to read in the Tuesday, Oct. 21 edition of The Clanton Advertiser that Mrs. Frankie Bowers is this year’s C.I.T.Y. Citizen of the Year.

Mrs. Bowers is an outstanding choice and very deserving of this honor. The paper listed numerous civic organizations which she is involved in. However, the article failed to mention her long and exemplary service to the Chilton Baptist Association.

Mrs. Frankie has led the Association Woman’s Missionary Union for almost twenty years.

It has been my privilege to work with her for almost twelve of those years. Mrs. Bowers’ vision for missions and creative leadership has made a lasting impact on the Association’s mission efforts locally, nationally and internationally. She is a vital part of our leadership Team and a faithful friend and colleague.
