Bessie Lee Langston, 79, of Jemison died Friday, Oct. 17, at her residence.
She was born on Saturday, Oct. 27, 1928 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Joseph E. Jones and the late Ethel Riley. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her six daughters, Joyce Price of Jemison; Janice (John) Lucas of Jemison, Joan (Woody) Cummings of Jemison, Julia Pate of Jemison, Jackie (James) Robertson of Jemison, Jilly (Terry Overstreet) Roberts of Jemison; son, Rodger (Shelia) Langston of Jemison; sister, Jackie (Remus) Waldrop of Jemison; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-granchildren.
Friends were received after 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at the residence. Graveside services will be held today, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at the Jones Family Cemetery in Jemison with the Rev. Steve Grauel officiating.
