Billingsley wins critical Class 1A, Region 3 contest

Billingsley overcame 105 yards of penalties, including two that caused would-be touchdowns to be called back, to take a 22-12 win over Holy Spirit on Friday night.
Jamar Hopson rushed 15 times for 105 yards and two touchdowns, and running mate Tim Simon had 57 yards and two 2-point conversions on 13 carries.
Quarterback Mario Reese completed seven of 12 passes for 105 yards.
Hopson led the defense with 12 tackles, and teammate Matt Paulene had 11 tackles to go along with a sack and an interception.
