Judy Cates Taylor, 72, of Maplesville died Tuesday, Sept. 30 at Chilton Medical Center.
She was born Friday, Nov. 15, 1935, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Joel J. Cates and the late Carolyn Thrash Cates. She was a teacher.
Survivors include her daughters, Julia Elizabeth Taylor of Maplesville, Anita Taylor (Robert Barry) Smith of Dothan, Jeanne A. (Frederick J.) Brust of Maplesville; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Alvin Cates of Bowling Green, Ky.
Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. today, Oct. 2, at Martin Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 3, at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Brian Funderburg officiating.
