Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Earl of Maplesville would like to announce the engagement of their son, Derrick Pelham Earl, to Ms. Amber Alina Stack of Keystone Heights, Fla.

Derrick is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rex Pelham of Stanton, Mrs. Jettie Smitherman and the late Mr. Samuel Smitherman of Bessemer and the late Mr. Gerald Percy Earl of Fairfield.

Amber is the daughter of Evelyn Dee Stack of Keystone Heights, Fla., and the granddaughter of Mrs. Patricia Brown and the late Mr. Lawrence Stack of Homestead, Fla.

Derrick is a 1998 graduate of Maplesville High School and is currently employed with Champion Electric in Calera.

Amber is a 2002 graduate of Keystone Heights High School.

The couple will marry at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Stanton.

All family and friends are invited to attend.

The couple will reside in Maplesville.
