Jim Cleckley, 86, of Clanton died Monday, Sept. 22.
He was born Sunday, April 2, 1922, in Chilton County, son of the late Pate Cleckley and the late Nancy Cleckler. He was a welder.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Mae Cleckley of Clanton; two daughters, Gail (Lloyd) Turner of Anniston, Brenda (Ronnie) Widner of Hueytown; son, Ray (Doris) Wallace of Blackfoot, Idaho; three grandsons, five granddaughters, 10 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews; brother, Robert (Jeanette) Cleckley of Billingsley.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m today at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held today, Thursday, Sept 25, at 2 p.m. at Zion Ridge Church of God with the Rev. Robert Barnes and the Rev. Tony Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, Clanton.
