Janice Merle Thornton Wilson, 63, of Deatsville died Wednesday, Sept. 24 at her residence.
She was born Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1944, in Alabama, daughter of the late James Smolon Thornton and the late Velma Thornton.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Wilson of Deatsville; daughter, Pam Wilson of Orlando, Fla.; son, John (Tammy) Wilson of Deatsville; grandson, Hunter Wilson of Deatsville; granddaughter, Kara Wilson of Deatsville; aunt, Clarice Thornton of Clanton; sister-in-law, Judy Thornton of Clanton; nephew, Mark Thornton of Clanton; two nieces, Paula Thornton of Clanton, Jill Cox of Clanton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Smolon and Velma Thornton and brother, Harold Thornton.
Friends will be received today from 5-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Hankins officiating.
