AUBURN – Auburn tailback Brad Lester is having his right knee checked out.

Coach Tommy Tuberville said Sunday Lester would have an MRI, though he said Dr. James Andrews indicated after the game with LSU that the knee appeared stable.

Lester had a number of tests last week after spraining his neck.

Tuberville said the Tigers were far more consistent offensively in a 26-21 loss to LSU.

Defensively, he said the biggest things that bothered him were failing to stop the running game and some lapses in concentration in the third quarter.

He did say sixth-year senior Tez Doolittle had his best game and would start over Mike Blanc against Tennessee.

Auburn dropped five spots in the national rankings to No. 15.
