Ernest Reed Sr. departed this life on Sept. 9 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
He was born Sept. 19, 1931 to the late Curtis Reed and the late Bernice Tyes in Jemison.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Brenda Reed; stepmother, Ola Reed; four sons, Ernest Reed Jr., Anthony Reed and Terrance Reed (Keva) all Cleveland, Ohio, and Orlando Agee of Fayetteville, Ga.; three daughters, Michelle Reed of Cleveland, Ohio, Tifanny Oden of Anniston and Calandra Reed of Jemison; seven sisters; nine brothers; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; 21 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Agee Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
