Jimmy and Rita Cleckler, of Clanton are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Caralyn Leigh Champion to Douglas Aaron Mims, son of Doug and Cindy Mims of Maplesville.

Caralyn is the granddaughter of Linda Champion and the late David Champion of Randolph and the late Clifton and Elizabeth Cleckler of Clanton. She is a graduate of Maplesville High School and is currently employed by Regions Bank while pursuing a degree in nursing.

Douglas is the grandson of Earl and Dean Mims of Verbena, Mary Wheeler of Miss., and the late Pat McDaniel. He is a graduate of Maplesville High School and Mercedes-Benz Institute and is currently employed by DeShazo Crane.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. at Lomax Assembly of God. Friends and family are invited to attend.
