The latest U.S. Drought Monitor reports shows that all of Chilton County is still classified as abnormally dry.
The same amount of the state as last week is still at least normally dry, and the same area of the state is still classified in a moderate drought, which is almost 18 percent.
The area currently experiencing a severe drought only decreases slightly from 4 percent to 3.3 percent.
Most of the state received little rainfall last week, but the state was still reaping the benefits of Tropical Storm Fay’s rainfall.
