Elections for mayor, council are today

Voters in Clanton, Jemison, Thorsby and Maplesville are heading to the polls today to elect mayors and councils for the next four years.

Clanton’s election will be at city hall, and voters will be electing the positions of mayor and all five wards.

Jemison’s election consists of the mayor’s race and three council districts. People can vote at its city hall.

Thorsby has two council seats and its mayor’s position up for grabs, and the election will take place at its city hall.

Maplesville will only be electing its mayor. The poll is located at its fire station.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
