Woman electrocuted after wreck

COLLINS CHAPEL – A woman riding in a truck was killed late Thursday night after the vehicle struck a power pole at the intersection of County Roads 29 and 50.
The victim was Lesley Anne Harris, 24, of Jemison. Deputy Coroner Awlahjaday Agee said she died of electrocution.
Between 11:30 and 11:45 p.m. Thursday, the truck was traveling on County Road 29 when it struck the pole, which was holding a 7,200-volt primary distribution line.
“This is just a terrible tragedy,” Agee said. “My prayers go out to this family.”
Collins Chapel Fire Department responded to the wreck.
The crash is being investigated by the Chilton County Sheriff’s Department, state troopers and Alabama Power.
