The Rev. Ehrman Eugene Hand, 81, of Jemison died Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Chilton Medical Center. He was born Saturday, Jan. 29, 1927, in Wadsworth, son of the late Rev. Elbert Clifton Hand and the late Mary Magdelene White. The Rev. Hand was a retired minister in the Chilton and Shelby County area.
Survivors include his wife, Alma P. Hand of Jemison; two sons, Larry Eugene (Gail) Hand of Meridian, Miss., Ronnie Neal (Debbie) Hand of Prattville; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; brother, Addison Hand of Forestdale.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. E.C. Hand; mother, Mary M. Hand; and step mother, Olene Hand.
Friends will be received today from 5-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. at Jemison First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens, Jemison.
