Reecie Nell (Gray) Burns of Clanton, daughter of Morris and Josephine Gray, died Aug. 1 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Wallace E. Burns Sr.; daughters, Mary Jo (Charles) Grant of Verbena and Cindy (Terry) Sims of Clanton; sons, Wallace “Eddie” (Louise) Burns Jr. of Billingsley and Donald E. (Djuana) Burns of Luverne; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 16 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Home or Shriners Children’s Burn Center.
