Grandson sought in stabbing arrested
MOODY – Police Chief Johnny Kile of Moody says the man authorities sought in the stabbing death of his grandfather has been arrested in Panama City, Fla.
Kile said 21-year-old Jordan Tyler Durden was being held in the Panama City Jail after he was taken into custody about 8 p.m. Friday.
Kile said Durden was walking in a neighborhood when he was arrested. He said a woman from the Moody area who knew about the slaying recognized the tag on the van and called police.
Sixty-nine-year-old John “Calvin” Durden died Thursday of multiple stab wounds. He and his wife, Eva, were attacked Wednesday.
