Verlon Mullins Deavers, 92, of Clanton died Tuesday, July 29.
She was born on Monday, Feb. 7, 1916, in Chilton County, daughter of the late John David Mullins and the late Birdie Powell Mullins.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her three daughters, Elsie Hill of Clanton, Ozell Mims of Clanton, Joan Jones of Clanton; two sons, Dewey Deavers of Clanton, Jeff Deavers of Clanton; nine grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herman Mullins, Carroll Mullins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lee Deavers, daughter, Myra Lee Deavers and son, Lester Deavers.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 30, at Martin Funeral Home.
Services will be held Thursday, July 31, at 10 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Derek Deavers officiating.
Interment will follow in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery, Clanton.
