Emmett C. “Jack” Thompson, 81, of Clanton died Friday, July 25, at Hatley Health Care, Clanton.
He was born on Sunday, March 20, 1927 in Alabama, son of the late John Thompson and the late Annie Mims.
He was an aircraft mechanic.
Surviving are his daughters, Deborah (Don) Jackson of Rocklin, Calif., Rozlyn (Joe) Gover of Clanton, Peggy (David) Dixon of Clanton, Denise (Mark) Goska of Birmingham; four granddaughters, Tamara Jackson of Rocklin, Calif., Charisse Jackson of Rocklin, Calif., Nicole Jackson of Rocklin, Calif, Anna Marie Goska of Birmingham; grandson, Nicholas Goska of Birmingham; great-grandson, Korby Jackson of Rocklin, Calif.; brother, Richard (Ruth) Thompson; loyal canine companion, Jessie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lee Thompson and his son, Mr. John Thompson.
Friends will be received from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, July 27, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Sunday, July 27, at 3 pm. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thurmond Cleckler officiating.
Interment will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens, Clanton.
