Loft coming to Clanton Friday

It’s easy to find events in Chilton County for the older crowd. Typically, however, younger people have to look a little harder to find something to do.

Fortunately, a local evangelistic outreach known as The Loft is growing in response to this need.

Mulberry Baptist Church has hosted The Loft for several weeks every Friday night, but this Friday the event will take to the streets of Clanton at 7 p.m.

Corner Park will serve as the backdrop for a night of worship, praise and fellowship for young adults of all ages and denominations. The streets will be blocked off from First Baptist Church to the Courthouse.

All who are interested are asked to bring a lawn chair and enjoy a night of Christian fellowship as Adam Jack Marcus leads in praise and worship and Jason Duskin, youth pastor of Mulberry Baptist Church, follows with a message of salvation to all young people who are dealing with life’s challenges of today.

The music and the message are scheduled around other events that are planned for the evening.

The Loft is a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend. All youth directors are encouraged to bring their youth.
