Hope you enjoy the new site

If we are looking a little more proud than usual today it is due to our new interactive Web site, www.clantonadvertiser.com, which was launched this morning.
The free site will give you a quick way to look at the news occurring in the Chilton County area 24 hours a day. It also gives you the opportunity to share your comments about the news in our area by simply registering as a site user.
Www.clantonadvertiser.com will daily include the news of the day, weather, obituaries, opinions, columns, messages from local merchants as well and an opportunity for you to register your comments about the events that are shaping our county at the end of each news story. I believe the interactive aspect of the new site will become a popular addition since it will give you the opportunity to share your views not only with our staff but with everyone who visits the site as well.
Once you have registered on the site all you have to do is go to the bottom of the story, follow the directions and leave your comments for everyone to read. It will be entertaining to see what others in the county are thinking about news events.
While you are navigating through www.clantonadvertiser.com, click on “spotted” on the index line under the banner and take a look at another interactive site we’ve established that I am sure will become a daily favorite. The site will be filled with local photographs we take as part of our daily news gathering. The site will give us an opportunity to display other pictures we take at events but, because of space limitations, do not run in The Clanton Advertiser.
Our photo site is interactive also. By registering on the site you will have the opportunity to upload pictures you take for others to enjoy. It will be a good location to share pictures with others of your children’s birthday parties, sporting events, breaking news you see or just about anything else. Your pictures will be available 24 hours a day for others to enjoy.
Our news team will be loading new stories into www.clantonadvertise.com as it gathers the information, especially any breaking news that you need to know quickly.
The new site is a work in progress and will continue to evolve into what we believe will be an important part of your daily news consumption. Both sites are part of The Clanton Advertiser’s mission of being the news source for the Chilton County area.
I hope you will visit the site, sign up for the interactive elements and let us know what you think about www.clantonadvertiser.com. I believe it is a good site for readers and for area merchants who want to reach the growing number of residents who read the news on www.clantonadvertiser.com.
