Kendra “Kim Williams has qualified to run for Clanton City Council Ward 1.

Williams has been a native of Clanton for 37 years. She is married to LeKeith Williams of Clanton, and she is the mother of one daughter, LeKeshia Williams, and three sons, LeKeith Ra’Shad Williams, JarVarious Glover and Cortez’ Glover. She is also the grandmother of DeShanti’ Bolding.

Williams is a graduate of Chilton County High School (1988) and a Business major at George C. Wallace. She employed with Eleventh Area of Alabama O.A.C., Inc. (Community Action) for seven years as Chilton County Coordinator/Service Worker.

“Since being employed with Eleventh Area I have addressed Clanton’s low-income individuals and families’ energy needs by assisting with the rising cost of electric and gas service. I go above and beyond the call of duty,” Williams said.

“Clanton has expanded over the years and it is time to elect someone willing to work for the people and businesses within our town. We need more motivation, innovation and a lot of determination.

“Your support will be appreciated August 26, 2008.”
