Edna Johnson Perry

Edna Johnson Perry, 98, of Clanton died Thursday, July 21.

She was born on Monday, April 8, 1918 in Alabama, daughter of the late Eldred Jackson Johnson and the late Leila Safronia Burdeshaw Johnson.

She was a retired elementary school teacher of 36 years in Muscogee County, Ga.

Surviving are her nieces, Judy G. (Doug) Powell of Clanton, Eloise Elliott of Webb, Gloria (Bob) Nash of Tennessee, Glenda Camp of Panama City, Fla., Sylvia (Buddy) West of Panama City, Fla., Karen (Mitch) Holder of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Diana Pepper of Lummie Island, Wash.; nephews, Larry (Lynn) Gross of Auburn, Wash., and Jerry Tew of Webb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldred & Leila Johnson, and husband, Walter Perry.

Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19 at Martin Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. CDT at Park Hill Cemetery, Columbus, Ga., with Rev. Doug Powell officiating.
