Andrew Carl Cox, 61, of Clanton, passed away May 24 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on June 24, 1953, in Alabama, the son of the late John Cox Jr. and Mary Frances Cox.

He was a carpenter.

Surviving are his sons, Terry Wayne Cox of Clanton and Andy Shawn Cox of Clanton; daughters, Rachel Nicole Cox of Clanton, Tonya Cox Tindol of Billingsley; mother, Mary Frances Cox of Clanton; sisters, Judy Headley of Clanton, Angie Nix of Jemison, Tina Martin of Jemison; brothers, Jerry Cox of Clanton, Tommy Cox of Billingsley; 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Cox Jr.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. May 28 at New Cedron Church.

Services will be held May 28 at 11 a.m. at New Cedron with the Rev. Lynn Roe and the Rev. Joseph Bright officiating.

Interment will follow in New Cedron in Billingsley.
