Thomas Warren Holland

Thomas Warren Holland, 70, of Verbena, passed away on Feb. 12 at Prattville Baptist Medical Center in Prattville.

He was born in Crossville on Feb. 1, 1945, the son of the late Sam Holland and the late Ardina Hubbard Holland.

Holland retired as a Master Sgt. in the United States Air Force.

He honorably served his country during many deployments including the Vietnam Conflict.

He is survived by his sister, Jimmie Meliska of Verbena; sister, Omitine Wright of Geraldine; brother, Jerry Holland of Rome, Ga. and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. from Floyd Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Lawrence officiating.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial with military honors was Feb. 17 at 2 p.m. in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
