The Clanton restaurant, located next door to Associated Foods, held a grand opening Wednesday.

“We are excited to be open,” owner Jason Lea told those in attendance at the ribbon cutting. “Our goal is to offer good, fresh food to our customers.”

Lea and his wife, Beth Graham Lea, decided to open a restaurant after previously working as caterers.

“I have always been in the restaurant business, and I started Premium Hospitality a few years ago where we provide hospitality services to special events,” Lea said. “I always wanted to open a kitchen for our catering services and the opportunity came up for us to open a kitchen with a restaurant.”

In addition to catering events on the weekends, Lea said the Neighborhood Grill will serve customers in Chilton County with fast, casual food.

“We want people to come sit down and eat good quality food at inexpensive prices,” Lea said.

The restaurant offers foods such as burgers, sliders, wings, fries, pastas and side items such as fried pickles.

Lea said the two signature dishes offered at the restaurant include the Chicken Alfredo and the “Chilton Chicken” which is a grilled and seasoned chicken breast with mushrooms, bacon, Swiss and cheddar cheeses and a side of honey mustard.

“We look forward to serving the community,” Lea said.

The restaurant is currently open Monday-Friday from 6 a.m.- 2 p.m. for breakfast and lunch and Tuesday-Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. for dinner.
