Martin Wayne Baker, 51, of Birmingham, passed away Oct. 12 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

He was born on Sept. 28, 1962, to William Wayne Baker and the late Camellia Parkin Baker.

He was a cab driver.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Baker of Birmingham; daughter, Amber Owen of Birmingham; son, Brendon Owens of Birmingham; granddaughter, Kelsey Owens of Charlotte, N.C.; father, William Baker of Jemison; sister, Rhonda Baker of Jemison; brother, Scott Baker of Brooklyn, N.Y. and brother, Brian Baker of Jemison.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Camellia Parkin Baker.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. from Ellison Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Owenby officiating.

Burial will follow at Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.

The family will receive friends on Oct. 13 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
