Jerry C. Connell, 65, a resident of Marbury, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 12.

He was the owner and operator of Marbury Steel Fabricators.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 15 at 3 p.m. at Prattville Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Don Myers and Stan Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Connell was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Annie Connell and one sister, Joy Culp. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cathy Connell; one daughter, Wendy (Jay) Thompson; one son, Scott (Claudia) Connell; eight grandchildren, Tatum, Bennett, Ella Jane, Collier, and Charlotte Connell, Morgan, Jack and Grant Thompson; five brothers, Lamar (Dot) Connell, Ray (Bobbie) Connell, Harold Connell, Paul (Glenda) Connell and Roy (Patti) Connell; one brother-in-law, Steve (Traci) Evans and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
