Lois Elizabeth Parrish Plier, 82, of Port St. Joe, passed away July 7 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born May 7, 1932, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Dr. William Lonnie Parrish and the late Annie Mae Jones Parrish.

She was a secretary.

Surviving are husband, James E. Plier of Port St. Joe, Fla.; son, Jimmy R. Plier (Kathy) of Clanton; daughter, Frances Payton (Bobby) of Clanton; grandchildren, Robby Payton, Julie Payton, Kris Plier, Jimmy Norwood and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Dr. W.L. and Annie Jones Parrish; sister, Ola Mae Smelcer; brother, Frank Parrish.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. July 10 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held July 10 at 2 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Jim Shannon officiating.

Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
