Scotty (Scott) Glenn Williams, 42, a resident of Alexander City, went to be with the Lord and join his daddy on March 26 after a three-year struggle with cancer.

He was surrounded by his loving mother and family he loved so dearly.

Every man dies. Not every man really lives. Williams however, lived life to the fullest while making everyone around him laugh along the way.

Memorial services will be held March 29 at 3 p.m. at Pletcher Community Church in Maplesville (186 County Road 398) with the Rev. Joey Green officiating.

Special speakers will be Lance Gilliand and Rob Fannin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Bobby Williams of Clanton; grandparents, Julius Williams (Annie Pearl) and Virgil Headley (Dorothy).

He is survived by his loving mother, Joan Headley Lockhart; step-father, Hugh Lockhart; brother, Michael Williams (Tonya); three sisters, Angela Green (Joey), Christy Futch (Moosie) and Misty Green; two nephews, Travis Williams and Joshua Green; eight nieces, Jessica Keener, Kacy Holloway (Robert), Kayla Green, Kelsey Green, Hannah Futch, Jodi Green, Mikenzie Williams and Addyson Futch.

The family will be forever grateful for the loving care and support provided by the Pletcher Community Church, as well as numerous family and friends.
