Elsie Lee Freeman, 84, of Clanton, passed away March 6 in Prattville.

She was born on Jan. 15, 1930, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late James P. Hester and the late Nettie Wright Hester.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Steve McCord (Mary Ellen) of Clanton; two grandsons, Jerrod McCord (Johna) of Wetumpka and Matthew McCord of Prattville; granddaughter, Dr. Lola Leigh McCord (Jon Linna) of Garland, Texas; six great-grandchildren and brother, Raymond Hester of Rockford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Nettie Hester and numerous brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held March 10 at noon at Greenwood Serenity Cemetery in Montgomery with the Rev. Doug Powell officiating.

The family requests no flowers but donations be made to your favorite charity.
