Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements compiled by graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Baseball

Chance Calloway (Chilton County 2012) captured his first win of the season on the mound in a six-inning effort for Lurleen Wallace Community College (12-6) in an 8-1 victory at home against Bishop State Community College (5-11) on Feb. 25 in Andalusia.

In the competition, the sophomore collected seven strikeouts and allowed seven hits and one earned run.

For the season, he tallies five appearances and three starts to compile 18.1 innings, 14 strikeouts and a 1.98 ERA.

Alex Campbell (Jemison 2013) pitched eight scoreless innings by producing four strikeouts and allowing three hits for Wallace Community College-Selma (10-9) in a 1-0 victory at home against Marion Military Institute (4-15-1) on March 1 in Selma.

Patriots closer Joe Pradat tallied two strikeouts, allowed no hits and improved his record to 3-0 after relieving Campbell in the final inning.

For the season, Campbell totals six appearances and three starts to compile an 0-1 record, 28 innings, 12 strikeouts and a 2.57 ERA.

At the plate, the freshman contributes five RBI, one double, one walk and a .269 batting average.

Cameron Cummings (Chilton County 2013) collected his second run scored of the season for the University of South Alabama (5-5) in a 5-3 triumph at No. 24 Arkansas (7-2) on March 1 in Fayetteville, Ark.

For the season, the freshman outfielder totals four RBI, three walks, one stolen base and a .259 batting average.

Craig Headley (Chilton County 2013) batted 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored for Jefferson Davis Community College (3-9) in a 6-5 loss against Chattahoochee Valley Community College (14-4) on Feb. 2 in Phenix City.

For the season, the catcher continues to be catalyst at the plate by totaling three runs scored, three walks, two RBI and a .375 batting average.

In the freshman’s most recent competition, he finished 2-for-4 with one stolen base in an 8-5 loss at home against Bishop State Community College (5-11) on March 1 in Brewton.

Bo Hoffman (Thorsby 2013) contributed two innings as a relief pitcher to compile two strikeouts and allow two hits and one earned run for Marion Military Institute in a 4-1 loss at Birmingham-Southern College junior varsity on Feb. 27 in Birmingham.

For the season, the freshman totals three appearances and starts to tally four innings and three strikeouts.

Stephen Mims (Maplesville 2013) totals one appearance, one strikeout, two innings and a 4.50 ERA as a pitcher for Wallace Community College-Selma.

Men’s basketball

Tre Bryant (Jemison 2012) recorded two assists for Huntingdon College (12-15, 9-5 USA South Athletic Conference) in a 94-84 loss in the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament Finals against LaGrange College (18-10, 9-5 USA South Athletic Conference) on March 1 in Maryville, Tenn.

For the season, the 5-foot-11 guard tallied 2 points per game, 0.9 assists per game and 0.8 rebounds per game.

Taylor Hughes (Chilton County 2010) posted a game-high eight points and one steal for Huntingdon against LaGrange.

For the season, the 6-foot-1 guard totaled 1.6 points per game, 1.6 rebounds per game and 1.1 assists per game.

Women’s basketball

Sharonda Cooper (Thorsby 2012) collected a season-high eight points, five rebounds and one block for Faulkner State Community College (13-6, 4-8 Alabama Community College Conference) in a 64-37 thrashing at home of Bishop State Community College (4-22, 3-9 Alabama Community College Conference) on Feb. 27 in Bay Minette.

Softball

Brianna Cleckler (Chilton County 2012) highlighted back-to-back shutouts for Southern Union Community College (19-6) by pitching a perfect game complemented by seven strikeouts in an 11-0 thrashing of Florence-Darlington Technical College (4-3) on March 1 in Columbus, Ga.

On March 2, the sophomore followed by hurling a second consecutive shutout in her sixth complete game of the season in an 8-0 triumph against Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville (1-4) on March 2 in Columbus, Ga.

In the competition, she posted a season-high eight strikeouts and allowed two hits.

For the season, she totals 13 appearances and 11 starts to contribute an 8-2 record, 60.2 innings pitched, 43 strikeouts and a 1.96 ERA.

Shelby Lopez (Jemison 2012) batted 3-for-3 with two doubles for Central Alabama Community College (13-3) in a 6-3 triumph at home against Snead State Community College (2-8) on Feb. 25 in Alexander City.

For the season, the sophomore has contributed at catcher and third base to provide nine runs scored, nine walks, seven RBI, four doubles, three stolen bases and a .318 batting average.
