Calvary Independent Baptist Church

We want to thank everyone who attended services this weekend. We thank Christ for continuing to add to the church. We also say a special thanks to the visitors we had on Sunday night and welcome them back for any of our services.

Sunday morning’s service included a message from John 6:30-36 on desiring something more. Sometimes we find ourselves needing something more, rather than using what we have to serve God. We end up like these people here in John 6, desiring more, dwelling in the past, and find that we are a people using bad discernment. All I really need to do is decide that right now, with what I have, I am going to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. What about you; what will you decide?

Sunday night’s service included an awesome song service and a short devotional message from Mark 6:6 about how Jesus never quits. God never gives up, and neither should we.

Afterward we had a fellowship meal downstairs celebrating birthdays and anniversaries for this month.

We want to invite you to come and visit with us this Sunday. We are located south of Clanton, just past Dollar General, off U.S. 31 on Fulmer Drive. Sunday School is at 9 a.m., Children’s Church and adult worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday service is at 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday service is at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call Pastor Oscar Mims at 755-9399.
