Billie Rule Cole, 85, of Clanton, passed away on June 2 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on Monday, Dec. 5, 1927, in Athens, Ga., the daughter of the late Robert Rule and the late Verna Gussie Lee Mann.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son, Bob Cole (Tammy) of Clanton; daughters, Dianne Benton (Stan) of Clanton, Darlene Cunningham of Clanton and Denise Hubbert (David) of Clanton; daughter-in-law, Sheila Smith (Stac); 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great- great- grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Cole; son, Bill Cole; parents, Robert Rule and Verna Gussie Lee Mann and sister, LaVerna Rule Benton.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. on June 4 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church.

Services will be held on June 5 at 2 p.m. at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Kent Dodson officiating.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
