Horace Melvin Smith

Horace Melvin Smith, 57, of Clanton, passed away on May 8 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

He was born on Dec. 17, 1955 in Chilton County, the son of the late Ollis Smith and the late Lula Bell Smith.

He was a truck driver.

Surviving are his wife, Robin Smith of Clanton; son, Jeffrey Smith (Heather) of Clanton; daughters, Stephanie Downs (Clay) of Verbena, Kristie Cummings of Verbena (Brian) and Tiffany Rollan (Matt) of Clanton and 11 grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. on May 10 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held on May 11 at 11 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
