Inf. Dylan Lavon Moats, the infant son of Winston Moats, Jr. and Amanda Moates of Clanton was born and passed away on May 2, 2013 at Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery.

He is survived by his parents, along with his grandfather, Winston Moats Sr. of Deatsville; grandmother, Debra Mims of Clanton; grandparents, Ricky and Tisha Vann of Montgomery; grandparents, Donald and Susan Gore of Clanton; great-grandmother, Myrtice Preston of Clanton and great-grandfather, Monroe Powell of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tressa Moats and grandfather, Allen Mims. A graveside funeral service was held on May 5 at 3 p.m. in Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Clanton with the Rev. Randall Beagles officiating.

The family received friends prior to the service in the sanctuary of Oak Grove Church of God.
