Billingsley’s baseball team swept a doubleheader from Reeltown on April 6, winning 6-2 and 4-3.

In Game 1, Thomas Nichols paced the Bears offense, going 3-for-3 with a double and two stolen bases.

Dalton Acreman, Matt Prebula and Garrett Price each accounted for a hit and a run batted in.

Freshman Mason Friday had a two-run single and earned the win on the mound, allowing three hits in seven innings while striking out six batters.

Game 2 featured less offense but impressive defense.

Billingsley got hits from Justin Snow, Nichols, Prebula and Friday, who had two RBI.

Snow tossed 87 pitches in seven innings to earn the win.

The Bears will finish up area play next week with games against Ellwood Christian and Autaugaville. Wins in these games would ensure the top seed in the area for Billingsley.
