Billingsley’s baseball team on April 3 earned its first win against rival Maplesville since 2009.

The Bears won 11-1 in the first game of a doubleheader and 4-1 in the second game.

In the first game, Mason Friday led BHS with three hits, including a double, and three runs batted in.

Dalton Acreman collected two hits and two RBI.

Justin Snow, Matt Prebula, Garrett Price, Dalton Davis and Kendall Elrod each added a hit and an RBI.

Thomas Nichols pitched a five-inning complete game, giving up three hits while striking out six batters.

In the second game, Prebula paced the Bears’ attack with two hits.

Nichols added a triple and two RBI.

Acreman, Snow, Tyler Powell and Friday each added a hit.

Snow earned the win on the mound behind a strong defensive effort.
