Betty Jean Maddox, 78, of Clanton died Sunday, March 10, 2013.

She was born on Sunday, July 29, 1934, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Amzie Easterling and the late Gertrude Easterling.

She was a laborer.

Surviving are her daughters, Wanda (Tommy) Martin, Renae (Frank) Barron; sons, Mike (Diane) Maddox, Ronald (Linda) Maddox; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Easterling, Ross (Brenda) Easterling, Bernie Easterling, Jerry Easterling, Larry Easterling, Kenneth (Elanore) Easterling; sister, Alma Easterling.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Maddox; parents, Amzie and Gertrude Easterling; brother, Clifford Easterling and sister, Glennie Rhodes.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 12 at Clanton Church of God.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 13 at 2 p.m. at Clanton Church of God with the Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
