Connie Sue Smitherman Aaron

Connie Sue Smitherman Aaron, age 63 of Clanton, passed away on Feb. 11, 2013, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born in Chilton County on Sept. 19, 1949, the daughter of the late Sam Smitherman and the late Dorothy Nell Wilson Smitherman.

She was a secretary for Pelham Tank Lines.

She is survived by: husband, John Aaron Sr. of Clanton; son, John (Christy) Aaron Jr. of Clanton; daughter, Kim (Kevin) Lloyd of Maylene; grandson, David (Kayla Epperson) Aaron of Clanton; grandson, Casey (Megan) Aaron of Clanton; grandson, Ryan Lloyd of Maylene; and great-grandson, Colton Aaron of Clanton.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 6–8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Boatwright officiating.

Burial followed in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
