James Allen Clackley

James Allen “Worm” Clackley, 72, of Clanton died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Wednesday, March 6, 1940, in Chilton County, son of the late Deason Cleckler and the late Iola Lett Cleckler.

He was an auto mechanic.

Surviving are sons, Bull (Pauline) Clackley, David (Brandy) Clackley; daughters, Cathy Polk, Lisa (Jeff) Higgins, Kim (Trey) Hughes; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Cleckler; and sister, Patricia Smith.

Friends will be received from 5–8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Perkins officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.

No flowers; please make donations to Chilton County Humane Society or FOP Toys for Tots.
