William Clyde Ware

William Clyde Ware, age 80 of Billingsley, passed away on Dec. 14, 2012, at his residence.

He was born in Billingsley on May 13, 1932, the son of the late Samuel A. Ware and the late Dollie Mae Davis Ware.

He was a farmer.

He is survived by: wife, Joann Ware of Billingsley; son, Jerry Clyde (Valerie) Ware of Billingsley; stepdaughter, Leslie (Wendell) Houston of Athens; stepson, Keith (Debbie) Campbell of Athens; granddaughter, Jerra Nicole Ware (Scott) Ferguson of Qiqihar Heilongjiang, China; step-granddaughter, Leah McAlister of Millbrook; sister, Shirley Sue (Allen) Bailey of Westover; sister, Helen Fay (Clyde) Henderson of Clanton; sister, Dollie Dimple (Melvin) Hartley of Clanton; and brother, Samuel Charles (Ashley) Ware of Autaugaville.

He is preceded in death by wife, Jan Ware; son, William Albert Ware; father, Samuel Albert Ware; and mother, Dollie Davis Ware.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 16, at 2:30 p.m. from the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Mike Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in Bethel Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
