Valerie Pancoast, 58, of Calera died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, in Alabaster.

She was born on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1954, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Harry Douglas Vines and the late Cheryl Ray Vines.

She was an office manager.

Surviving are husband, Curtis W. Pancoast of Calera; two sons, Nicholas P. (Tiffany) Hammock of Thorsby, Justin Pancoast of Dallas; daughter, Britney Pancoast of Dallas; two granddaughters, Jennilyn Collins and  Madison Collins, both of Thorsby; brother, Cliff Vines of Clanton; two sisters, Ruthie Smitherman of Clanton, Libby Thomas of Verbena; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 14, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery.
