Sarah Elizabeth Strength, 81, of Clanton died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012.

She was born on Saturday, March 14, 1931 in Chilton County, daughter of the late John Roe Howell and the late Katie Mae Allen Howell.

She was an LPN.

Surviving are her daughters, Sonja P. (Michael) Harris of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Susan J. (Chuck) Edwards of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Joyce E. (Donnie) Minor of Clanton, Beth (Ted) Smith of Jacksonville, Ark.; son, David (Idaleen) Strength of Clanton; seven grandsons; seven granddaughters; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Strength; son, John H. Strength Jr.; grandson, Nicklos Maxwell Bishop; and eight brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received from 6–8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Harris officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Creek Baptist Cemetery.
