Defending champs knocked out of playoffs

Chilton Christian Academy will not repeat as state champions, losing Friday at Marion, 60-26.

The Patriots (4-5) were competing in the first round of the Christian Football Association playoffs.

Chris Lassinger compiled 179 rushing yards and 112 receiving yards, to go along with three touchdowns, in a losing effort.

Damian Smith had 23 rushing yards, one touchdown and eight tackles on defense.

Quarterback Zack Pittman passed for 133 yards and a score.
