Pearline B. Davenport

Pearline B. Davenport, age 82 of Prattville, passed away on Oct. 20, 2012, at Merrywood Lodge Nursing Home in Elmore.

She was born in Chilton County on Feb. 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Richard Almon Brewer and the late Rodie Bolton Brewer.

She was a former machine operator with Gulf States Paper Company.

She is survived by: son, Richard Davenport of Prattville; son, Johnny Davenport of Prattville; son, Charles Davenport of Prattville; daughter, Annie Sommers of Ranburne; daughter, Barbara JoAnn Blackmon of Marion Junction; daughter, Janice Blackmon of Marion Junction; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Neil Brewer of Clanton; sister, Orell Baker of Clanton; sister, Margie Porter of Jemison; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by: husband, Earl Davenport; grandson, Mark Davenport; and parents, Almon and Rodie Brewer.

Visitation was held on Monday, Oct. 22, from 5–8 p.m. at Victory Chapel Church in Clanton.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. from Victory Chapel Church with the Rev. Donnie Messer officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church No. 1 Cemetery in Jemison.
