Mildred Olean Kirkland

Mildred Olean Kirkland, 86, of Clanton died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012.

She was born on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1925, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Lee R. Caton and the late Mary N. Ellison Caton.

She was a press operator.

Surviving are her four daughters, Dorothy Wyatt of Alabaster, Judy Roberson of Clanton, Susan Moore of Verbena and Barbara Foshee of Clanton; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Rayford Caton of Clanton and Kenneth Caton of Clanton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Kirkland.

Friends were received from 6-8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Services were held Sunday, Sept. 16, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Drinkwater officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery.
