Gloria A. Parker, 76, of Thorsby died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham.

She was born on Saturday, Sept. 14, 1935, in England, daughter of the late Frederick Piersall and the late Sara Jane Dawson Piersall.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving is her husband, William H. Parker of Thorsby; two sons, William H. Parker Jr. and David S. Parker; daughter, Julie S. Elkhatib; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Nora Elizabeth Carterer and Dorothy Bogden; brother, Stanley Dawson; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at Martin Funeral Home.
