Clanton Police Department narcotics detectives executed two simultaneous search warrants Friday night, resulting in eight arrests.

The first warrant was executed at a home on 14th Street. During the search, detectives found a large amount of marijuana and crack cocaine, packaging materials and a firearm, said Capt. David Clackley.

Amadou Dibba, 24, of Kennesaw, Ga. and Rickey Riley, 24, of Powder Springs, Ga. were arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were given bonds totaling $30,750.

Since the arrests, ICE agents have placed a detainer on Dibba, who is an immigrant from Africa, according to Clackley.

The case is assigned to Cpl. David Kline, who said the department has responded to numerous drug-related calls at the residence this past year.

The second warrant was executed at a business on First Avenue. During the search, detectives found marijuana, crack cocaine, powdered cocaine and packaging materials, Clackley said.

In all, six people were arrested during the operation.

James Worthy, 26, of Clanton; Kenyon Oden, 27, of Clanton; Denequa Tinsley, 24, of Clanton; and Christen McCall, 22, of Clanton, were arrested on the scene and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Darrin Worthy, 24, of Clanton was later arrested on the same charges after fleeing the scene, Clackley said.

All subjects were placed in the Chilton County Jail on bonds totaling $55,500.

Jonathan Parker of Clanton was charged with possession of marijuana second-degree.

Sgt. David Bone will work this case.
