CCA girls in state championship game

Chilton Christian Academy’s girls basketball team on Saturday will play for the school’s second state championship this academic year.

The Patriots won the football state title on Nov. 4, 2011, and on Saturday will play Victory Christian (Columbus, Miss.) at 11:30 a.m. in the Alabama Christian Education Athletic Association championship game at Shelton State Community College.

CCA advanced to the championship game by defeating Tuscaloosa Christian, 36-30, on Friday.

The CCA boys were defeated by Tabernacle Christian (Gardendale), 50-39, on Thursday.
